In this role, you will participate in various preconstruction projects. You will participate regularly with the Preconstruction and Design Team during the preconstruction period. You must have the ability to deliver high-level detailed estimates at the initial project stage and efficiently function by reviewing design options, and recommending the best solutions based on cost, methods of construction, market trends, etc. Qualified individuals will have experience with Process & Piping.
Job Responsibilities:
- Background in Sanitary Food and Beverage (Preferred)
- Experience with above-grade process mechanical piping systems
- Experience with production equipment (Packaging, Conveyors, etc.)
- Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings and understanding specifications
- Ability to understand owner/engineer requirements with conceptual ability to work with minimal information
- Knowledge of construction, materials system, market conditions, and trade practices
- Knowledge of estimating software (preference for Bluebeam, OnScreen Take-Off, etc.)
- Knowledge of 3D software (AutoCAD, TrueView, Solid Works, Design Review, Navisworks)
- Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite programs
- Detailed and deadline oriented, well-organized, and ability to prioritize
- Strong organizational skills
- Good work ethic and time management skills
- Detailed oriented and self-motivated
- Able to work in a high-volume environment
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal clients, external clients, and vendors
Education/Experience:
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in accredited construction-related curriculum
- 3+ Years Estimating Food & Beverage Process Piping
Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:
- Experience in estimating, scheduling, client relationship, computer skills, interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to train others and monitor their work for quality and completeness
- Knowledge of industry-standard bid practice

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
