Job Description Summary
The Lead Engineer – MBE Technology drives the execution and end-to-end delivery of projects that improve data continuity, digital traceability, and collaboration across the product development-to-manufacturing lifecycle. You will help build the GE Aerospace digital ecosystem that enables GE Edison Works to deliver next-generation propulsion systems with speed, rigor, and repeatability.
This position is ideal for a highly collaborative engineer who brings technical depth in Model Based Engineering / Model Based Definition (MBD) and the initiative to turn new ideas into sustainable, scalable standards. You will work across Engineering, Product Definition, Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure MBD data is accurate, complete, interoperable, and consumable by downstream manufacturing and inspection processes.
A key part of the role is external supplier enablement: you will build relationships with supplier sites, assess digital maturity, and create/execute roadmaps—using standard work—to align supplier capabilities with customer requirements and supplier shop business realities.
This role is based in Evendale.
