Job Description The Manufacturing Capability Lead is a senior individual contributor within Operations Business Systems responsible for aligning manufacturing priorities, business processes, and system capabilities across the full capability lifecycle.
The role combines deep manufacturing knowledge with an understanding of the systems, data, and integrations that support manufacturing operations. The Lead works directly with operators, supervisors, manufacturing engineering, quality, planning, supply chain, and site leadership to understand operational challenges, map current state value streams, design improved future state processes, and determine the capabilities required to enable them.
As a key member of Operations Business Systems, the Lead helps maintain business ownership after project implementation. The role supports manufacturing capabilities from problem identification, strategy, and prioritization through design, implementation, adoption, stabilization, sustainment, optimization, and eventual replacement or retirementRequired Education, Experience, & Skills • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations management, supply chain, information systems, or a related discipline.
• Typically seven or more years of experience in manufacturing operations, manufacturing engineering, operational excellence, continuous improvement, or manufacturing capability enablement.
• Direct experience working in a manufacturing or production environment and partnering with shop floor teams.
• Demonstrated experience leading value stream mapping, future state design, and structured process improvement workshops.
• Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, standard work, waste identification, root cause analysis, and operational performance measurement.
• Experience translating manufacturing processes and operational needs into business, capability, data, and system requirements.
• Understanding of planning, scheduling, material management, production execution, quality, engineering, inventory, and related manufacturing processes.
• Working knowledge of ERP, MES, quality, planning, PLM, data, or related manufacturing systems and integrations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with shop floor employees, technical teams, business leaders, and senior leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to influence decisions and lead cross functional teams without direct authority.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills • Experience in a regulated, high complexity, or engineer to order manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Oracle ERP, Oracle Manufacturing Execution System, or comparable enterprise manufacturing platforms.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• APICS CPIM or equivalent manufacturing or supply chain certification.
• Experience with organizational change management, business analysis, capability implementation, and lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with production control, routings, bills of material, work instructions, serialization, lot control, quality collection, and shop floor data.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $120874 - $205486

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
