Job Summary
This job requires in-depth knowledge across two to three key ecosystems/technologies, managing and enhancing Comcast Advertising's services and infrastructure. It focuses on deploying and stabilizing code, and promoting standardization and automation across networks and systems. Responsibilities include providing clear, technical communication during medium-scale outages and resolving complex issues. It drives continuous improvement through collaboration with engineering teams and vendors.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough testing and assessment of the network, developing and refining programs/scripts
- Maintaining operational stability and administering and deploying critical Unix, WebLogic, Linux configurations
- Conducting detailed troubleshooting and managing essential network protocols for optimization
- Formulating strategies for network performance enhancement and identifying targeted improvements
- Creating and revising network operational documentation, clearly communicating network configurations and processes
- Recommending system enhancements and analyzing XNOC tools for effective network operations
- Troubleshooting and resolving intermediate network issues and monitoring services to minimize downtime, serving as a knowledgeable resource
- Updating software for consistent system performance, maintaining high-quality network services
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in IT Operations, Network Operations, System Monitoring, Application Support, or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring and observability platforms, including Nagios XI, Grafana, and Datadog.
- Experience utilizing alert management and incident correlation tools, such as BigPanda or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Jira for incident tracking, ticket management, and workflow coordination.
- Strong understanding of monitoring, alerting, event management, and operational support processes.
- Experience troubleshooting production issues and responding to system alerts in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze monitoring data, identify trends, and proactively recommend improvements to system reliability and performance.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Schedule / Work Set-up / Location:
- Shifting Schedule (must be amenable with any schedule depending on business needs)
- Hybrid Work Set-up (3 days ONSITE weekdays - alternating Wednesdays every other week, 2 days WFH on the weekends)
- Hours are 8am to 8pm Eastern (12 hour shift - Wednesdays alternate)

Salary:
New York Pay Range: $86,015.38 - $129,023.08
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.
