(SWAI), a registered investment advisor and an affiliate of Charles Schwab & Co. Inc.
As a Senior Manager, Alternative Investment Consultant (AIC), you play a critical role in meeting a growing need to help our ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) Retail clients navigate the private alternative investment landscape and thoughtfully incorporate this asset class into their overall wealth management experience. In this role, you will deliver a white-glove alternative investment experience to these UHNW clients who have sophisticated wealth management needs and are interested in investing in various alternative investments, including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, private real estate, and the like. If you have a passion for advising and educating clients, guiding them to meet their goals, as well as working cross-functionally within a dynamic, highly impactful team, this may be the role for you.
What you have
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of a client facing position within Financial Services
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Series 7 required (maybe obtained with a 90-day COE)
- Series 66 required (maybe obtained with a 180-day COE)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advice experience in Alternative Investments strongly preferred
- Understanding of investment life cycle, risk, and portfolio modeling
- Familiarity with tax issues and liquidity management
- Advanced education or professional designations preferred
- CAIA or CFA, or progress towards, highly desirable
- Familiarity with industry databases/tools
- Excellent written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Inquisitive, analytical, a strategic thinker, proactive and solutions oriented
- High-energy, positive, entrepreneurial in spirit while being goal-oriented and results-driven
- Self-starter: takes initiative and can work independently
- Well-organized and disciplined with high attention to detail
- Flexible and adaptable in working with various business domains
