Quality Engineer role reporting to Quality Sr Manager, responsible for leadership of critical strategic projects and site Production Quality process improvements to improve team throughput. Overall coordination responsibility for Production Operations Corrective Action Board, RCCAs for systemic trends, and proactive process and product Quality improvements.
Applies quality principles across design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, reliability, inventory, and R&D for make‑or‑buy items. Performs technical evaluations of requirements, specifications, models, drawings, and procedures, and collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers to establish and maintain quality standards. Leads failure investigations, Material Review Board (MRB) and Failure Review Board (FRB) activities, and drives corrective/preventive actions that meet reliability and compliance requirements. Develops strategies and systems to improve internal and supplier performance, identifies and rectifies quality‑system deficiencies, and designs/analyses inspection and test processes and equipment. Conducts statistical analysis of failures, yields, rework, scrap, and non‑conformances, and supports Integrated Product Teams with data reviews. Performs audits and assessments for ISO‑9001/AS9100 compliance, evaluates design‑assurance and production‑process methodologies, and serves as the final authority on product acceptability. Interfaces with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on all quality‑related issues.
