The Position
Brookwood is currently looking to expand its fundraising capabilities by hiring several experienced institutional salespersons with proven track records and existing relationships within the US family office, pension, endowment, foundation, and other institutional channels. The position will be primarily focused on marketing the firm's funds and co-investment offerings to new and existing institutional investors and maintaining client relationships.The successful candidate will be self-directed and able to prioritize multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have strong existing relationships with the investor community and have previous experience raising capital from institutional investors for alternative asset strategies. Primary Responsibilities
- Secure capital commitments for Brookwood-sponsored real estate and private equity funds.
- Participate in the production of company collateral materials and pitch decks to support fundraising efforts.
- Organize, coordinate, and participate in in-person and virtual meetings and events with potential family office, pension, endowment, and foundation clients (e.g., conferences, one-on-one meetings, events, etc.).
- Set up calls and meetings with consultants focused on both real estate and other alternatives to build long-term relationships for Brookwood.
- Maintain a quarterly sales plan and monitor/report on set fundraising goals using the firm’s Salesforce CRM software.
- Update senior management regularly on activity, pipeline, and feedback about all fundraising efforts.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of six to eight years of experience in financial services, with specific experience in alternative investments, servicing family offices and institutional investors in sales, fundraising, and/or business development capacity.
- Existing knowledge of and relationships with relevant institutional investor communities such as family offices, pensions, endowments, and foundations.
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding fundraising performance expectations.
- A sophisticated understanding of financial markets and experience with relevant alternative investment strategies.
- Strong proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office (including Excel and PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, willingness for frequent travel, and robust organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and creative problem-solving abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation and delivery of presentations.
- Self-motivated and proactive, both concerning managing workload and professional development.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
