Job Summary and Qualifications

In this role, you’ll stand alongside physicians and colleagues to deliver advanced care during lifesaving cardiac procedures. From guiding patients and families through their journey to ensuring precision in every step of treatment, you’ll bring both skill and compassion to moments that improve more lives in more ways.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
- Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
- Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
- Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
- Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient
What qualifications you will need:
ARRT and Radiology Technologist – Texas Department of Health or
- RCIS
- RCIS staff members who do not hold an ARRT certification:
- Must be under the direct supervision of a licensed practitioner credentialed for invasive procedures (e.g., Cardiologist, Radiologist, or Vascular Surgeon); and
- Must comply with all applicable state laws, rules, and regulations governing the performance of radiologic procedures.
- Current BCLS certification required.
- Demonstrated current clinical competence, as outlined in the appropriate orientation checklist
- Maintains competency on a consistent basis (i.e. Annual Skills Checklist)
- Challenges EKG test, or takes EKG course.
- ACLS certification within 6 months of employment
- Thorough technical knowledge
Able to deal with stressful situations and to stand for long periods of time
