Job Summary:
Private Cloud Operations (PCO) is responsible for the design and operations of Sysco’s Data Center and Operating Sites (OpSite) compute/storage/backup worldwide in support of the company’s strategic and resilient backbone. We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Manager Private Cloud division. As the Senior Manager of Private Cloud, you will lead teams responsible for delivering services in a private cloud data center environment. This will also include guiding the M&A/Integration teams during the discovery phase activities. This includes overseeing Edge Compute, Nutanix & wmWare, DC Compute, DC Networking (SAN/Management/LAN), DC Storage (EMC), and Backup (CyberVault). Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage teams responsible for Edge Compute, Nutanix, DC Compute, DC Storage, and Backup services.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Manage, train, and delegate to promote high-performing teams.
- Oversee the delivery of services within a private cloud data center.
- Ensure efficient and effective operations of Edge Compute, Nutanix, DC Compute, DC Storage, and Backup services.
- Utilize project management experience by overseeing the delivery of private cloud services globally, ensuring high redundancy, DR standards, and effective utilization.
- Provide technical leadership for teams that are experts in Nutanix & vmWare, DC Compute, DC Storage (SAN/NAS), Backup (Cybervault), Cisco networking and fiber channel.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in private cloud technologies.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for Private Cloud services, aligning with organizational goals and identifying the correct mix of technologies to provide excellent cost-effective services.
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement and efficiency in service delivery.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through the effective delivery of private cloud services.
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree with an IT, Management or Engineering focus
Education Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems with a focus on management, and business operations.
Experience Required:
7-10 years
Experience Preferred:
- Proven experience in leading IT-based teams responsible for Server, backup, and/or storage delivery in private cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of Server, storage, network and compute technologies in a collocated or private cloud environment.
- Previous experience in strategic planning and execution of private cloud initiatives.
Technical Skills and Abilities:
- 5+ years of team and people management experience.
- 5+ years of experience in the Data Center design, operations, and hardware lifecycle management.
- Excellent vendor management and engagement expertise.
- 3+ years Data center management, monitoring, metrics, and dashboards
- Advanced knowledge in IT infrastructure operations, configurations, tools, and service processes used within DC operations.
- Advanced experience in Configuration Management over IT assets and components by maintaining information about the configuration items, including hardware documentation and data center facilities.
- Experience of managing cross-functional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners as part of daily responsibility.
- Maintain Documentation & Flow Process.
- Experience in a diverse DC environments (> 10 sites).
- Possess a high degree of professionalism, customer service, and dependable.
- Ability to apply a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of technical concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Solid written and verbal communication.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
- Must present exceptional leadership, problem solving, decision making, and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a remote capacity.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
