IT Asset Management, Associate Director - Contract

KPMG is working through its partnership with MBO and is currently seeking a remote contractor.
This role is responsible to develop and execute IT Infrastructure hardware and software acquisition and support contract negotiation strategies, primarily focusing on meeting future business demands for the firm’s technology needs, while providing support for analysis impacting renewals, and performing detailed analysis and due diligence to obtain complete and accurate data allowing for line of sight into future for Op Ex reductions.
Responsibilities:
- Support management in the execution of strategy for technology focused contract negotiations including, but not limited to acquisitions, maintenance renewals, strategic cost optimization and terms / conditions improvements / standardizations
- Make recommendations for Op Ex savings based on prior experience in a similar environment
- Coordinate with senior leadership on long-term strategic initiatives as well as immediate growth priorities and meeting annual cost reduction targets
- Lead special projects supporting Executive Leadership’s requirements to obtain line of sight into future opportunities leading to cost savings
- Collaborate with the business to effectively manage multiple vendors for contract renewals and acquisitions
- Ensure alignment with the technology investment portfolio and the enterprise architecture organization to support the technology strategy of the firm by shepherding use of technology to strategic partners/vendors
- Team and liaise with finance and strategic sourcing to ensure all contract activities align with standard controls, and ensure ongoing engagement throughout a program’s lifecycle for appropriate levels of contract and budgetary oversight
- Seek continuous improvement and increase of scope of sourcing and contracting efforts for the firm
Qualifications:
- Minimum ten years of related experience required
- Bachelor's degree/master’s degree preferred
- Comprehensive command of business-based strategic negotiation methodology and hardware /software pricing models
- Experience in managing IT vendor/supplier relationships, acquiring technology hardware and software assets, performing data analytics, creating financial models and analyses, evaluating opportunities.
- Exceptional verbal/written communication, collaboration, presentation, and negotiation; possess advanced Excel skills
- Capable of building strong professional relationships with ability to influence all levels across the organization; able to execute strategic initiatives for team, creative thinker with ability to identify innovative business solutions

The pay rate range(s) displayed is/are specifically for those contracted who will perform work in or reside in the location(s) listed below, if selected for the role. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including market data, ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD, technology), and specific location, for example. Additionally, applicants may be required to apply and become employed by a service provider utilized by KPMG, and final pay rate(s) and/or eligibility for additional benefits may be determined by such provider.
$75 - $85 hourly (USD)
