Job Summary and Qualifications
The Administrative Assistant of Nursing Services maintains and supports use of the computerized staff scheduling and related systems for Inpatient hospital departments.
What you will do in this role:
- Maintain responsibility for the use of the scheduling system.
- Maintain a working knowledge of scheduling and staffing management and departmental, hospital and system operations.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of system policies with input by key constituent groups for maximum system utilization.
- Maintain responsibility of payroll processes of the Inpatient Nursing units.
- Work as Unit Assistant on the Med/Surg units as needed.
- Promote a supportive, teamwork-oriented environment. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of Horizon.
What qualifications you will need:
- Experience in managing a staffing system or large databases preferred.
- Experience in developing schedules to meet the needs and demands of work units preferred.
- Computer experience required.
