Mission and Scope
The Amphibious Combat & Sealift Systems Program Office (ACSSPO) Phase 6 team is responsible for the current remediation program for the Royal Australian Navy’s two Auxiliary Oiler Replenishment (AOR) ships.
To achieve operational validation of the content, continuing support from the existing Technical Publication Author is required to work alongside AOR Ships Staff, with the guidance of the AORSPO Engineering Section, to continue to verify AOR Technical Publication, and identify and make amendments to all publications in priority order to complete all the deliverables anticipated.
Location
The role is located at Garden Island Dockyard Precinct, Woolloomooloo, Sydney.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:
- AOR Support Contract
- Administer and coordinate Phase Out commercial requirements.
- Facilitate internal CoA workshops and forums for Phase Out.
- Conduct contract management/administration requirements leading up to Contract closure, including but not limited to CDRL management and Contract Change Proposal (CCPs).
- Ceport to the AORCASPO Commercial Manager, and provide further related contract administration requirements as reasonably requested.
- AOR Acquisition Contract
- Review and provide status and contract closure report on AOR Acquisition Contract (ie requirements for contract closure)
- Administer contract management requirements for AOR Acquisition Contract closure
- Report to the AORCASPO Commercial Manager, and provide further related contract administration requirements as reasonably requested.
- Provide support to the scope of work for the Commercial and Business Management Support for the Remediation Program to include:
- Administer incoming SEA 1654 PH3 Correspondence and distribute to the appropriate SPO staff;
- Support drafting formal SPO responses to incoming SEA 1654 PH3 Correspondence;
- Review incoming Navantia invoices to identify potential LD and or remediation related work;
- Collaborate with the AOR Sustainment team to interrogate necessary sustainment data to validate/verify costs associated with LD and or remediation related work;
- Support the development of costing models for LD and Remediation issues;
- Take minutes at AOR remediation project Steering Group and Working Group meetings
- Administer the remediation database (MS Access development skills would be desirable)
- Research contractual/commercial issues., as necessary
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working to deliver Defence projects;
- Commercial, Business, Legal and/or Project Management background.
- Experience with phase out and transition out for a major contract.
- Exposure to major sustainment organisations and enterprises.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- Diploma, or equivalent, qualification in a Commercial or Business related discipline;
- Ability to work autonomously.
Security
- Australian Citizenship holding or eligible for an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Defence Security Clearance.
- Ability to maintain Baseline clearance or higher.
- Must be eligible for ITAR clearance of relevant ship systems.
