Job Description
As a Product Manager – Innovation, you will be working in a highly dynamic environment responsible for bringing to life the most innovative and transforming ideas to continue shaping the payment industry. This role will work for the LAC region with a component of global work.
In this role, you will be responsible for the product lifecycle management of initiative(s) assigned to you and guarantee the correct development of what was originally defined.
Product execution:
Feature specification: Write clear specifications for major features and effectively think through and specify complex functionality.
Leverage different spec formats, comps, and working prototypes as necessary to describe functionality in sufficient detail to successfully drive product implementation.
Product delivery: Make the right trade-off decisions to launch your project in a high-quality manner and make recommendations that deliver maximum value to the end user as quickly as possible.
Product quality assurance: Understand how multiple features are interrelated and catch more complex problems.
Communicate product needs to technology and design teams effectively being able to engage in technical conversations, as necessary.
Product Strategy:
Customer insights:
Fluency with data: Use Visa’s data tools to analyze results of projects, gather insights, and use those insights to drive product recommendations and set realistic goals.
Voice of the customer: Determine which method of user feedback is most effective for the task at hand, and work with the tools and teams at the company to execute on that plan.
Distill user feedback to make recommendations for future product enhancements.
User experience design: Articulate visually how to solve a particular product problem and help guide the design team's direction.
Observe design decisions made by other company's products as a helpful point of reference and drive consistency across the company's products.
Influencing people:
Stakeholder management: Define and agree ways of work and continuous alignment with stakeholders, including organizing any recurrent meetings. Integrate their feedback and make recommendations for the best path forward, escalating when necessary.
Communication: Communicate status, progress, and outcomes to senior management. Proactively highlight any issues blocking your forward progress on a project, setting accurate expectations with your manager on your current set of work.
Work with your manager to get feedback on your work.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- Must be fluent in professional business (written and verbal) English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues in a clear, concise, and impactful way – turning research & numbers into compelling stories and useful strategic insights to a variety of stakeholders.
- Advanced level of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
- Self-starter results oriented individual, with the ability to “roll up their sleeves”, achieve results as part of an effective team, and effectively prioritize and multi-task under deadlines.
- A team player and collaborator, able to work well with a diverse group of individuals in a matrix environment, ranging from junior to executive level.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 96,600.00 to 136,550.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
