Service Now Software Engineer II
Job Summary

To maintain the pace of change, we are looking for a Service Now Professional Application Developer who is passionate about creating solutions that enhance their customer's business. In this role, you will be a key development team member, serving as a technical expert while designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality solutions. Applicants will be required to engage in ongoing background checks through the duration of this position with continued passing results.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities
- Translate functional requirements into working solutions. Code, debug, test, configure, and support programs, applications, services, mobile apps, utilities, tools, and frameworks as part of the application development lifecycle. Document test cases, expected results, and test data requirements, and collaborate with testing teams/business partners to resolve testing problems. Provide impact analysis for changes to programs and systems. Provide production support responsibilities for one or more applications. Follow best practices around developing and maintaining secure systems
- Design and build technical solutions for advanced business problems based on standards and guidance from more experienced team members
- Debug and resolve issues with code of above-average complexity for the current application
- Actively engaged with the COE and stakeholders to ensure alignment between business needs and technical deliverables
- Assist in the definition of best practices and strategies for the team
- Remain up to date on ServiceNow ModulesMiscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by the manage
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
- 3 or more years of experience in Experience required in Software Development
Equivalent Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 5 or more years of experience in Experience required in Software Development
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate Degree
- Service Now Mainline Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Service Now Micro-Certification for Flow Designer
- Service Now Certified Application Developer
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies and their application. Computer Programming skills and willingness to learn new technologies. Debugging and problem solving skills. Ability to perform unit and integration testing. Systems documentation skills (requirements and technical design)Knowledge of change management processes and the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) concepts
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and peers (both written and orally)
- Familiarity with Integration Hub
- Knowledge of ITSM/DevOps and IT Operations Management
