The HR Business Partner acts as a partner in a designated business region to provide strategic advice and value added service on a variety of areas across the HR function including but not limited to organizational development, employee engagement and recognition, retention, compensation, change management, talent and workforce planning, leadership development, and affirmative action program compliance. The HR Business Partner works across multiple levels of management and staff to identify HR issues, and partners with the business to utilize systems and develop processes to create sustainable solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide day to day performance management guidance and development opportunities to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, coaching assessments)
- Acts as a liaison between operations and HR to support alignment of HR products and services with client needs
- Supports the implementation of the performance driven culture for the company through performance management initiatives
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop and recommend solutions, programs and policies
- Maintains knowledge of HR practices, trends and policies, and provides HR policy guidance and interpretation to employees and management
- Works closely with management and employees, utilizing assessments where appropriate to improve work relationships, build morale, promote development and increase productivity and retention
- Provides expert advice and coaching to employees when appropriate, collaborates with the Employee Relations department on critical issues
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
- Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs
- Delivers and debriefs leadership and self-assessments in collaboration with Learning and Organizational Development initiatives
- Implements appropriate employee training and individual development planning and manages program delivery in collaboration with the Learning and Organizational Development department
- Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Helps to implement and maintain the Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action program.

- Collaborates and manages the development of job templates for the assigned business unit
- Implements employee engagement and recognition programs for the business region
- Creates and implements strategies for employee retention
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred
- At least 8 years of Human Resources experience
- Demonstrated experience in a strategic human resource role
- Strong presentation skills
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
- Demonstrated collaboration and consultation skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and consultation skills
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams)
Wage/Salary Information:
$82,000 - $100,000, annual bonus potential of $7,000 - $9,000
- Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
