About the Role:
We're searching for dependable and motivated individuals to join our growing team as FedEx drivers. As a vital part of our operations, you'll be responsible for safely picking up and delivering packages on a designated route. You'll ensure timely deliveries while providing exceptional customer service, making you a brand ambassador for FedEx.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle
- Load, unload, and deliver packages efficiently, adhering to weight and handling guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service by following professional communication protocols
- Navigate assigned routes effectively, ensuring on-time deliveries
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure all safety protocols are followed
- Utilize handheld scanners for accurate package tracking and delivery confirmation
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
- Ability to pass a DOT (Department of Transportation) physical and drug test
- Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to safety and quality service
- Ability to lift up to 150 lbs (with assistance available for heavier packages)
- Experience using a handheld scanner or similar mobile device (a plus)
