Production Supervisor
Position Summary

The Production Supervisor will oversee the manufacturing, packaging, labeling, and shipping of commercial products and large-scale, scale-up clinical trial material. The Production Supervisor plans and supervises activities related to the production and packaging of pharmaceutical products in a cost-effective manner while ensuring that cGMP and DEA requirements are met. This is a second shift position working Monday - Thursday from 4 pm - 2:30 am.
The Role
Supervise and assist in the successful manufacturing of commercial and large-scale clinical batches
Ensure manufacturing and packaging area and equipment are maintained in accordance with company and regulatory requirements, including preventative maintenance and cleaning.
Maintain production schedules and timelines.
Supervise team in the set-up and change-over of processing equipment.
Identify and resolve process and/or equipment failures; initiate appropriate action to prevent reoccurrence.
Responsible for cGMP compliance in all aspects of equipment calibration, packaging process, and batch records.
Audit and revise procedures and methods used by operative staff in the performance of his or her job and ensure that these are properly followed.
Support the execution of validation protocols for process and equipment validation to the extent possible including the reliable and consistent collection of required validation samples.

The Candidate
High school diploma or equivalent with 7 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical production area, including leadership experience resulting in sound functional understanding of pharmaceutical packaging and manufacturing processes OR
Associate degree in science or related discipline, Business Management or Operations with 5 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical production area, including leadership experience OR
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Technology or equivalent with at least two years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical production environment.
Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs unassisted.
Majority of work day is performed while standing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing.
Requires bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, climbing.
Ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Some exposure to hazardous chemical and other active chemical ingredients.
Must be able to use a variety of tools, equipment, and machinery.
This position requires that a respirator be worn for your safety, and as such, employment is contingent upon being able to complete a medical evaluation with satisfactory results. The medical evaluation is conducted via an external vendor assigned by Catalent.
