Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks to fill the position of Director in New York, NY.
Conduct fair valuation and risk classification of corporate loans and private credit investments. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure positions are marked correctly in the firm’s books and records. Conveying valuation assessment to senior finance management and trading desk. Perform fair value measurement classification and disclosures. Develop and standardize Valuation Control processes. Collaborate with technology teams on the enhancement of Valuation Control infrastructure. Review valuation and risk models, working closely with model developers. Respond to audit and regulatory requests.
Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $130000 and $135000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements:
Requires a Master's degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, or a related field plus two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years of experience as an Associate, Analyst, or a related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience with: utilizing pricing models and Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) valuation/financial modeling to independently value corporate loans and private credit investments; conducting distressed loans valuation; valuation of complex securitized products including commercial real estate and Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLO); collaborating on initiatives involving senior stakeholders in Trading, Strategists, Risk Management, Accounting Policy and Product Control; programming in VBA; utilizing financial valuation tools including PitchBook, Bloomberg, and Intex; overseeing technology projects in Agile framework; utilizing Alteryx, LoanX, and LoanIQ for syndicated loan market and M&A financing.
