DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Production Support Associate to join our Upfit Manufacturing facility in Ankeny, IA.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- This position will primarily focus on projects and activities that directly support the Production Floor.
- Demonstrate the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function's needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.
- Primary source of knowledge and technical support for the Upfit Technician Team.
- Drive Department engineering change request submissions and updates.
- Maintain continuous improvement updates to build documentation and processes standards for the Production Floor/Upfit Team.
- Support and maintain production equipment (Manta, Leak Stand, Smart Carts, Rollover Stand, etc..).
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Requires significant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
- Mechanical knowledge, ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics and run assembly functions with little supervision.
- Ability to use hand and power tools, basic level of knowledge in measurement equipment preferred.
- Must be comfortable working in a time-on task/production cell environment, working closely with Team Members to meet production goals and delivery targets.
- Must be able to physically lift 35 pounds frequently and unassisted.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, generating reports and intermediate level computer skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licenses, Certifications
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- This position does not require any Department of Transportation (DOT) related pre-screenings.
