Enterprise Architect
What does a successful Enterprise Architect do at Fiserv?
A successful Enterprise Architect at Fiserv serves as a hands-on technical advisor for complex transformation initiatives across enterprise-scale products, platforms, and services. This role helps engineering teams modernize legacy environments, define practical target-state architectures, and deliver secure, scalable, resilient, and cloud-ready solutions. The role also partners closely with product, engineering, architecture, and operations leaders to turn business priorities into clear design decisions, executable guidance, and successful delivery outcomes.
What you will do?
- Serve as a hands-on architecture and engineering advisor for large-scale transformation initiatives across products, platforms, and services, helping maintain project continuity and support transition into business-as-usual operations aligned to the client go-live in September 2026.
- Guide target-state architectures, modernization roadmaps, integration patterns, and reusable engineering standards while advising teams on simplifying complex legacy environments and enabling resilient, future-ready platforms.
- Work directly with engineering teams to shape practical, secure, scalable, and maintainable solution designs across application, data, cloud, integration, API, microservices, and platform layers.
- Review design options, technical trade-offs, dependencies, risks, and implementation approaches, while helping remove technical ambiguity, resolve design conflicts, and support teams through implementation challenges.
- Partner with product, engineering, architecture, and operations leaders to align technology decisions with business priorities, while developing architecture artifacts, design specifications, integration models, infrastructure diagrams, and delivery guidance that teams can execute against.
What you must have?
- 10+ years of experience in large-scale technology engineering, architecture, design, and implementation, including hands-on advisory experience in complex transformation programs.
- 7+ years of experience with the Java technology stack, including Java/Spring Boot-based application architecture, APIs, and microservices.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future, with the ability to work on-site 5 days per week.
Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent relevant experience.
What would be nice to have?
- 1+ year of experience with event streaming platforms and patterns, including Kafka-based event processing, pub/sub architecture, event-driven integration, and real-time data flows.
- 1+ year of experience with mainframe operations, legacy modernization, or distributed platform migration.
- 1+ years of experience with domain-driven design and cloud, data, and microservices architecture.
Salary Range
$146,000.00 - $244,800.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
