Overview:
The Fleet Manager is a pivotal role in our team, overseeing the company's fleet of Amazon branded and unbranded vehicles. Ensuring the safe, efficient, and optimal operation of our fleet is paramount to the successful daily operations and achieving company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Service: Oversee routine and thorough fleet maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and efficiency. This includes monthly Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) on all vehicles.
Coordination & Supervision: Assign and monitor fleet tasks ensuring they are completed timely and accurately. Provide supervision, coaching, and training to the fleet team members.
Communication: Collaborate closely with the Operations team to ensure services or body work by third parties do not hinder the Company's operations. Use platforms like Band for centralized communication on fleet tasks based on input from drivers, dispatch, Amazon, and management.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure the fleet's compliance with Amazon and/or Element’s safety and maintenance standards. Address and resolve fleet maintenance and safety concerns.
Operational Support: Assist the Operations team with fleet-related equipment issues. This includes on-road services, development of mobile maintenance units, and more.
Vendor & Staff Management: Nurture vendor relationships for services, tires, and parts. Aid in staff recruitment and daily manpower scheduling to meet workloads and fleet duties.
Cost Efficiency: Strategize on methods to decrease costs and improve operational efficiency.
Records & Documentation: Maintain and manage service records for all vehicle work. Assist with fleet record keeping and ensure proper documentation of services.
Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks, including but not limited to basic maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, rotating tires, fluid checks, and more.

Reporting: This role reports directly to the Operations Manager and will work in tandem with the Fleet Administrator to uphold the Fleet Program.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in fleet management or a related field.
Knowledge of Amazon's fleet and safety standards is a plus.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to multitask and handle high-stress situations effectively.
