Job Summary and Qualifications
Occupational Therapists play a vital role in helping patients regain independence, confidence, and quality of life after illness or injury. Guided by our mission to care for and improve human life, you will deliver compassionate, evidence-based therapy tailored to each patient’s unique goals and capabilities. Working closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team, you will evaluate needs, develop individualized care plans, and provide hands-on treatment that supports recovery through every stage of healing. Seasonal Position Requirements and Incentives:
- Seasonal position for 11/8/26 -- 2/27/27
- Completion bonus to be paid to eligible employees after the successful completion of 16 consecutive weeks of employment while meeting all shift requirements during that period.
- All Seasonal RNs/PCTs/ RRTs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period (0.9 FTEs) during the seasonal period.
- Two (2) weekend shifts are required for each 4-week period if applicable.
- During the 16-week period, the employee is required to work one holiday shift as defined by Department Manager or designee.
- Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There is no guarantee of hours by the hospital. However, if employees are called off by the facility, then they will still be eligible for the completion bonus.
- Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401 (k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy.
- Staff members classified in the Seasonal Program are eligible for Critical Staffing Need Differential payments, when approved for their department and after they have completed three scheduled shifts in a week (i.e. 4th shift is paid Critical Staffing Differential).
- Shifts may vary based on needs of the department.
- After the completion period has been met, employees are eligible to apply to open FT/PT/PRN vacancies.
- Current PRN employees with 0.001 or .3 FTE commitment can be considered for this program.
- Based on business needs, the seasonal program can be ended at any time.
- This program cannot be combined with Seasonal Incentive Program.
Your role will include:
- Evaluating each patient’s functional abilities and needs, then developing individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
- Delivering skilled, evidence-based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life through purposeful, compassionate care.
- Monitoring patient progress, adjusting plans as needed, and ensuring thorough, timely documentation that reflects quality outcomes.
- Educating patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement throughout recovery and beyond.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care, safe environments, and exceptional patient experiences.
- Leading by example—providing guidance to therapy assistants or students and upholding HCA Healthcare’s mission, values, and commitment to excellence.
What qualifications you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- (OT) Occupational Therapist
- Bachelors Degree
- No Travel Required
- One (1) Required Year of Experience
