Job Summary and Qualifications
Position Summary:
Technologist performs MRI examinations with protocols as outlined by the Radiologist. Operates diagnostic MRI equipment, and prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. Duties include, but are not limited to, scheduling, transporting patients, ordering supplies, inventory, cleaning, and anything deemed necessary by the Medical Imaging Management Team. Technologist is responsible for the Protection patients and staff from the magnetic field, including but not limited to all safety measures. Job may include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor. Employee must have the same licensure or have completed the same training to satisfy the requirements of the discipline of the student. Direct supervision means the primary caregiver is readily available to the student throughout the shift.
Requirements:
- ARRT Certified
- BLS
- Graduate of an AMA approved school or Radiologic Technology
- MRI registry preferred (required within 1 year of hire)
- Experience as an MRI Tech preferred
