Job Description BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Navy Qualified Validator (NQV)/Team Lead to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system.
Serving as the NQV/Team Lead, you will influence a multi-disciplinary team responsible for risk management framework of System Security Engineering (SSE). Currently we are developing and implementing a strategic solution for the integration of a model-based systems engineering approach to support current and future large-scale missile systems. You will collaborate directly with government customers to create policy, process, and implement appropriate tools for architecting, modeling, and designing a SSE infrastructure to continuously assess, mitigate, and minimize risk to the system's security and to the overall mission.
You will work closely with a specialized team and will interact routinely with the customer partner, workforce, and SSE team members to ensure successful administration and execution of a mission critical program. In this role, the NQV/Team Lead will provide information assurance (IA)/risk management framework (RMF) expertise to government Program or Project Managers and oversee the development and maintenance of the U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Program (SSP) policy and directives. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Education and years of related/relevant professional work experience required: Bachelor of Science degree in engineering/technical discipline, and 8+ year(s) related/relevant professional work experience or equivalent education and years of related/relevant professional work experience, training and/or certifications.
Additional skills/experience required:
- Certification as a Level II AND/OR III Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) as defined by DoD Instruction 8510.01 - Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT)
- Ability to manage programmatic schedules and drive performance to meet contract deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with government customers and the ability to influence within multiple levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated understanding of systems engineering program level planning documentation and change management.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and influence multi-disciplinary teams in complex systems engineering across the product development lifecycle.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate directly with government customers to create policy, process, and implement appropriate tools for architecting, modeling, and designing a SpE infrastructure to continuously assess, mitigate, and minimize risk to the system's security.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee and implement security risk management processes and mitigation strategies for security policy and requirements.
- Experience with Risk Management Framework (NIST 800-53) and appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Exceptional verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
- Experience in developing content for RMF packages used to gain an Authority To Operate (ATO) for an Information Systems.
- Skills in analysis, critical thinking, and technical problem solving.
- Thorough understanding and implementation of the end-to-end System Engineering lifecycle.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Master's degree in technical management, engineering, cybersecurity, or other technical discipline
- Desired experience in digital engineering and model-based systems engineering principles and tools
- INCOSE CSEP, ESEP, or equivalent certification
- CISSP or equivalent Cybersecurity certification
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $132962 - $226035
