The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled professional to join our team as a Snowflake Data Lake Support Specialist. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting and maintaining our Snowflake Data Lake. This position requires a self-starter with a solid technical background in SQL, ETL/ELT processes, and related tools, as well as a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration. You will act as the second level line of support for data lake operations to triage and resolve escalated issues as needed.

What You Will Do:

Provide second-level support for the Snowflake Data Lake environment, troubleshooting issues escalated by First-level support as necessary.

Develop, test, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and PL/SQL scripts to ensure efficient data processing.

Manage and enhance ETL/ELT workflows using Matillion, ensuring data pipelines are robust, scalable, and reliable.

Translate business requirements into clear technical designs and solutions that align with organizational goals.

Use Jira for case management, tracking issues, and applying story pointing for project planning and execution.

Maintain and enhance existing processes, or create new ones where gaps exist, ensuring documentation is comprehensive and stored in Confluence.

Collaborate with team members to design and implement data models and optimize Snowflake performance.

Support data integration efforts, ensuring seamless data flow across systems.

Provide operational support for Global Trade data, including data ingestion, transformation, and reporting.

Ensure proper documentation of processes, workflows, and troubleshooting guides for efficient knowledge sharing.

Monitor and maintain data quality and integrity within the data lake environment.

Adhere to best practices for data security, performance tuning, and disaster recovery.
Qualifications You Must Have
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or a related technical role or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.

Intermediate to strong knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, and PL/SQL with hands-on experience with Matillion for ETL/ELT processes.

Basic understanding of Git and version control principles (use of GitHub Actions is a plus but not critical).

Solid understanding of ETL/ELT principles, with experience designing and maintaining data pipelines.

Ability to translate business and technical requirements into actionable technical designs with experience using Jira for managing tasks, tracking cases, and applying story pointing for Agile workflows and experience with process documentation and knowledge management tools, preferably Confluence.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
Qualifications We Prefer

Working knowledge of Python for scripting and automation purposes.

Familiarity with handling Global Trade data and supporting applications.

Hands on experience with Power BI.

Experience with Snowflake-specific features such as virtual warehouses, data sharing, and performance tuning.

Understanding of data governance principles and best practices.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
