This position is an assistant to the Global Controller within the Corporate Finance department. Responsibilities include working with the international finance teams to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and US GAAP, as well as accounting for acquisitions, leases, shareholder compensation agreements and other equity accounts. Other responsibilities include quarterly variance analyses, account reconciliations, and assistance with the worldwide consolidation and year-end audit.
- Assist in preparation of monthly management reporting and quarterly financial statements, including the consolidated statement of cash flows
- Assist with establishing and maintaining internal controls over financial reporting, including preparation of quarterly analytics, and maintaining the accounting policy library
- Assist with monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts
- Assist with preparation for year-end US GAAP and IFRS audits, including drafting annual instructions for foreign offices, overseeing foreign office submissions, preparing consolidated footnote schedules, and responding timely to assigned external audit (PwC) requests and questions.
- Review and approve international statutory reports and filings
- Manage lease accounting, including preparation of IFRS and US GAAP disclosures and oversight of the staff accountant’s maintenance of the lease accounting system
- Coordinate Company stock transactions, maintaining documents, recording the transactions in the financial system, preparing annual shareholder statements and assisting in 1099 reporting
- Prepare purchase price accounting and necessary journal entries for business combinations
- Manage fixed assets
- Compile the annual IFRS goodwill impairment analysis
- Support year end compensation accruals process as needed
- Support client teams requests for financial information for third party submissions
- Assist with special projects for senior management including technical accounting research and memos
- Serve in a backup capacity to the Financial Reporting Manager in the monthly global consolidation process
- Maintain a thorough understanding of accounting system and all modules related to areas of responsibility
- Demonstrate strong project management skills combined with an accountable and “can do” attitude in order to manage and complete projects on time.
- Stay current on appropriate accounting rules and regulations affecting areas of responsibilities
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA are required, with a minimum four years of experience. Experience in Hyperion, PeopleSoft, financial statement analysis and international accounting are all a plus.

$62,000 - $111,000 a year
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
