The Intelligence Programs Group, part of Systems Planning and Analysis Inc.’s Space and Intelligence Division, is a specialized provider of systems engineering and trusted advisory services to the Space and National Intelligence community. SPA has a near term need for an Information Systems Security Officer to support NRO/Office of Space Launch Directorate.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to perform assessments of systems and networks within our networking environment or enclave, identifying deviations from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy through both passive evaluations (compliance audits) and active evaluations (vulnerability assessments). This role will establish rigorous program control processes to mitigate risks and support the certification and accreditation of systems, including process, analysis, and coordination support, as well as security certification test support, documentation, investigations, software and hardware research, emerging technology inspections, and periodic audits.
The ideal candidate will assist in implementing required government policies such as NISPOM, DCID 6/3, and make informed recommendations on process tailoring. They will perform analyses to validate existing security requirements and propose additional security measures where necessary. Additionally, the role will support the formal Security Test & Evaluation (ST&E) process required by government accrediting authorities, including pre-test preparations, active participation in tests, analysis of results, and the preparation of comprehensive reports. Responsibilities also include conducting regular reviews of system audits and monitoring corrective actions until all identified issues are effectively closed. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to ensuring compliance and enhancing security measures within our networked systems.

- HS diploma or GED and 1-3 years of relevant experience, or Bachelors of Science in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar specialty
