The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.
The Surety Programs Group (SPG) supports government and private sector management of complex safety, security, and reliability programs for high consequence operations. SPG delivers industry-leading, innovative, and value-added services such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention to help our clients understand and mitigate mission risks spanning physical, cyber, and human domains.
SPA has an immediate need for a Senior Surety Analyst.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Surety Analyst will lead independent reviews, provide analysis, recommendations and solutions for Navy Nuclear Deterrence Mission (NNDM) and NW surety policies and directives, and support the training of NW Surety personnel.
Tasks and duties: conduct liaison and coordination for policy development matters, provide support for the planning and execution of projects. Participate in meetings in conjunction with SSP personnel. Lead and support planned events with subject matter expertise and/or documentation support. Draft formal correspondence on policy interpretation, draft / review training policies, and compile and adjudicate stakeholder draft policy reviews; support the conduct of special studies relating to surety performance and or compliance; support long term planning, internal and external communications and the drafting and delivery of reports, correspondence, and briefings.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Prior military submarine ordnance officer experience which includes submarine and Strategic Weapons Facility (SWF) operations, Emergency Management staff level operational planning, NW surety and security policy assessments, instructor duty, AT/FP and NW security operations, qualifications as an NWTI Inspector, and Echelon II Nuclear Weapons Surety Section Head experience.
- Experience interpreting and drafting policy guidance relating to NW safety, security, and reliability prescriptive requirements and an understanding of the programs associated with the aforementioned programs is desired.
- Experience with the Nuclear Weapons Technical Inspections, Nuclear Weapons Incident Response Capability and Nuclear Weapon Surety.
- Experience with the NW Surety; safety, security, training, radiological controls, OHIO class submarine and SWF operations and policy.
Desired Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively lead groups.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to junior and senior audiences is required.
- Technical proficiency with MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required; proficiency with Access and Visual Basic a plus.
