The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.
The Critical Infrastructure Group (CIG) within JOID provides technical, programmatic and analytical support to customers with missions in national security to include the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Health and Human Services (HHS), and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Group brings technical and operational expertise in fields of countering weapons of mass destruction, critical infrastructure protection, emergency response, nuclear non-proliferation, weapons deployment programs, and transportation safety. In addition to management and advisory services, CIG staff collaborate closely with our clients to provide high-quality modeling, simulation, software, and analytical products to meet the most demanding government standards and timelines.
We have a near-term need for a Procurement Team Lead to provide onsite support out of the government facility in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities:
The Procurement Team Lead shall assist the Program Manager with ensuring the delivery of qualified and experienced personnel. Supervise contractor team efforts in support of DHS CBP acquisition programs in the formulation, assessment, and execution oversight of contracts awarded to industry partners to develop, field and maintain technical capabilities required to perform the national border security missions in land, air, and maritime domains. Provide contract management strategy development and contract execution strategy consulting support services to support the award of innovative combined CBP systems operational deployment and/or maintenance support services contracts.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active Public Trust clearance with an ability to obtain a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Background Investigation.
- Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of demonstrated procurement experience.
- Demonstrated strong managerial experience organizing, planning, directing, and managing teams of acquisition and procurement professionals.
- 1+ years of experience directly supporting DHS programs.
Desired:
- Currently working with CBP performing relevant work with an active CBP Background Investigation.
- Experience providing contract management strategy development and contract execution strategy consulting support services to support the award of combined CBP systems operational deployment and/or maintenance support services contracts.
