The position level is within the Data Management area of the Information Services division. This position’s primary function will be to model physical database designs and perform Database Administration activities for SQL Server, Db2 LUW, Hadoop, Azure, and other Database Management systems.
- This position will be hired at the Infrastructure Administrator, System Administrator, or Senior System Administrator level.

Compensation
$77,840 - $122,000

What you’ll do
- Performing regular and critical maintenance activities as required
- Perform the day-to-day functions of SQL Server, Db2 LUW, and other Database Management Systems
- Perform analysis of business requirements and the impacts to infrastructure
- Attend required training classes
- Performing Project Management Practices (PMP) processes required for projects and activities
- Create and maintain written standards and procedures for various DBA functions
- Communicate (orally and in writing) with co-workers and outside Data Management area
- Responsible for creation of the physical design, performance of database, backup, recovery, and other database activities
What you need
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree or completion of a Computer Science Program from a Technical Trade School preferred.
- Minimum of two years experience in I.T. infrastructure and/or application development is required.
Bonus if you have
- Experience as a Database Administrator or a Developer using or managing SQL Server, Azure or other Cloud technology.
- Experience with creating or using logical and physical entity relational diagram (ERD).
- Must have demonstrated project management skills by successfully completing assigned projects.
- Experience with performance tuning OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) and OLTP (Online Transaction Processing).
- Perform tasks to create and maintain databases, backup, and recovery of databases.
- Experience in coding SQL, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Shell scripting, Java, or C# languages.
- Experience with monitoring tools.
- Understanding Data Dictionary and/or Repository concepts and facilities.
- Understanding of Object Oriented Design, Object Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks like JPA, XHTML, XML, JSON; batch processing using Java Batch or Spring Batch.
