The Quality Team designs, implements and maintains quality assurance protocols and methods as well as monitoring manufacturing and component suppliers for adherence to Zebra specifications and quality standards.Manages a large unit or several smaller units through subordinate managers who oversee units that are functionally similar. Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinate managers. Substantial involvement in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operation(s) but which may also have company-wide effect. Operates with a larger degree of autonomy than a manager role. Represents the unit at meetings or on committees.
This location is a Medical Device manufacturing location. Position requires understanding of FDA Quality System requirements for medical devices. This is an on-site position.
Responsibilities:
- Drives positive results against key metrics by leveraging accountability, prioritizing, and creating efficiencies
- Acts as an ambassador of quality
- Brings knowledge of external best practices to drive quality. Leads cross functional efforts to drive a standard of excellence in Zebra products
- Communicates product quality standards, major non-conformances across all Zebra sites, and cascading messaging from the senior leadership team regarding Zebra product quality
- Applies quality tool set in innovative ways to identify and solve problems
- Manages escalated product quality issues from subordinate staff, balancing the financial and relationship interests of the customer and Zebra
- Translates process improvement/efficiency goals from senior leadership into actionable objectives
- Drives process quality by sharing knowledge with subordinate team members to spur innovative process improvements
- Manages execution of assigned process improvement initiatives, to achieve continuous improvement in all relevant Quality KPIs measuring Contract Manufacturer and Component Supplier performance
- Manages operational quality functions responsible for Contract Manufacturer support, Supplier Management, First Article Inspection and Component Approval
- Establishes strong operational relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to support new product introduction, sustain production and achieve product direct material cost reduction target
- Communicates process quality standards, major non-conformances across all Zebra sites, and cascades messaging from the senior leadership team regarding Zebra process quality
- Manages escalated process quality issues from subordinate staff
- Creates an environment where employees feel recognized and valued for their contributions
- Understands what motivates employees and uses knowledge to drive results
- Proactively creates opportunities to drive teamwork and positive collaboration within functions
- Strategically plans talent acquisition and development to fulfill
- Position requires understanding of FDA Quality System requirements for medical devices.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- 10 or more years experience including minimum 2 years management experience
- Requires in-depth knowledge of the units supervised, sound knowledge of other functional units and their interactions, and sound knowledge of overall business strategies and corporate goals
- Frequently requires special skills, such as negotiating with stakeholders or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of importance to the corporation
- Optimizes human, financial, and other resources to achieve designated goals
- Required to interpret and frame complex or specialized information for presentation to varied audiences
- Requires ability to gain cooperation of others
- Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship
- Interacts with key internal and external stakeholders and stakeholders in order to resolve complex problems

Salary: USD 152900.00 - USD 229300.00 Yearly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
