Pay Range- $22.14- $33.69- Depending on Experience

We are looking for a talented Product Definition Technician to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Engine Business Segment in Rocky Mount, NC.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Supports the product requirements and product change management processes in order to ensure that specification documents (e.g. drawing, structure, standards and software) are clear, concise and valid across the organization. Works under moderate supervision.
- Analyzes and processes the data into appropriate engineering, marketing, manufacturing and services systems.
- Releases and/or maintains the Cummins product specification documents (e.g. drawing, structure, standards and software).
- Applies Product Release standards for auditing purposes and ensures clear, concise and valid product requirements through the change management process.
- Cummins products specifications, including engineering, marketing, services and manufacturing processes.
- Participates in basic improvement projects linked to the product requirements and related change management processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Data Acquisition - Prepares samples, verifies equipment calibration and performs tests according to an approved standard procedure or work instruction in a manner which ensures, and results in, data that can be trusted and delivered to the engineer or customer.
- Data Reporting - Prepares documentation in a manner which clearly organizes and presents testing methods, instrument settings, the data and analysis to allow the engineer and customer to understand the results and form accurate conclusions and recommendations.
- Product Configuration and Change Management - Establishes a baseline of identified product artifacts to be placed under configuration management; releases, tracks, controls and communicates changes from concept to obsolescence often through work requests; establishes and maintains the integrity of the product artifact baselines
- Nimble learning - Actively learning through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learning fodder.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licenses, Certifications
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
- Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience in documentation and control, engineering discipline or related field.
Works on product specification related issues. Assists in completing data plate replacement, deviation, or engineering change requests
Participates in resolving data plate (PCC), deviation (OCC), or engineering change (ECC) issues
User of IMS, CMES, Windchill, Oracle, ERP, and/or Bartender.
Navigate IMS, Oracle, ERP, and Windchill
Communicate questions and concerns
Ability to work on multiple parallel projects
Cross functional work
- This position will require one week a month to onsite
