Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a dedicated, well-organized and customer-obsessed Executive Assistant to become part of our Worldwide Public Sector Team with the Sales, Marketing, and Global Services org.
This role will support senior leaders within the org and requires superior attention to detail, great organization and prioritization skills, the ability to plan ahead and to meet tight deadlines, all while juggling multiple critical requests. As an Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for a wide range of critical activities including complex calendar management, tracking key deliverables, coordinating travel and expenses, and organizing team activities and events (such as all–hands meetings and employee engagement activities). Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordinating meeting agendas, space planning, and ad hoc project coordination. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is important.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to act as an extension of our leaders in partnership with a supportive and collaborative EA community. The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and want to take on varied and exciting new projects and learn new skills. You’ll need to take effective action without having to know the total picture, and efficiently and proactively solve difficult or complex problems that affect people within the department or other related groups.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage complex calendars and scheduling with diplomacy and discretion.
- Organize, prioritize and appropriately handle time-sensitive, confidential information and ensure action required is addressed in a timely manner.
- Organize, execute, and assist with team activities (staff meeting agendas, on-sites/off-sites, team social events, etc.)
- Schedule cost effective air/hotel/ground transportation. Create detailed travel itineraries both domestic and international (including smooth transitions between time zones). Coordinate with in-house travel agents and manage international travel process. Submit expense reports in a timely fashion.
- Coordinate closely with Recruiting teams, Facilities team, HR team, and other Executive Assistants within the Amazon community. · Track and help drive completion of key deliverables and follow up on outstanding items to include meeting notes and action items.
