SUMMARY:
The Andersen Customer Experience team is seeking a Custom Product Drafter to create and modify CAD models and specifications for grille placement, customer approval and other CAD needs for delivery partners and customers. To maintain and ensure expected standards and best practices are being followed during model creation. Responds to customer/delivery partner requests/inquiries.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Applies CAD expertise and knowledge in the creation and delivery of product drawings for use by manufacturing, vendors, delivery partners and end use customers.
- Works closely with Customer Experience Representatives, RTQ&E, Manufacturing, Materials Management, suppliers and customers to define requirements and provide timely and accurate solutions.
- Engages in contact with manufacturing, vendors, delivery partners and end use customers to discuss process flow and product issues.
- Conducts effective verbal and graphical communications to facilitate customer understanding of, and satisfaction with, the product solutions presented.
- Identify, recommend, and implement team improvements.
- Provides proactive support of the team’s CAD support tools.
- Participate in the development and ongoing maintenance of the team’s CAD drafting standards, documentation processes and document storage methods.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate of Science Degree with a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in drafting or related area of work.
- High School Diploma with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience.
- Experience with CAD, PC and software applications.
- Basic 3D solid modeling CAD Skills
- Working knowledge of a Product Data Management system.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools.
- Time management skills and an ability to prioritize projects/work are essential.
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Autodesk AutoCAD software experience preferred.
- Autodesk Inventor software experience preferred.Andersen product knowledge preferred.
SALARY INFORMATION:

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
