- Continuously adjust strategy based on performance data, frontline feedback, clinical evidence, technology capabilities, and operational shifts.
Clinical Product Value Accountability
- Define, own, and be accountable for pod-level product OKRs and value realization.
- Own measurement of product outcomes, including nurse adoption and sustained utilization, documentation time and burden, documentation completeness and quality, workflow efficiency, nursing experience, and demonstrated clinical and operational value.
- Establish guardrails and success criteria that balance clinician experience, documentation quality, patient privacy, safety, operational value, and responsible use of AI-enabled capabilities.
- Regularly report product performance, outcomes, risks, trade-offs, and adoption barriers to executive and cross-functional stakeholders.
Clinical Workflow, Requirements & Backlog Ownership
- Lead workflow discovery with nurses and nursing care teams to understand documentation practices, pain points, variability, and opportunities for ambient technology.
- Own final business, clinical workflow, functional, and non-functional requirements, including detailed acceptance criteria.
- Ensure requirements address clinical workflow fit, usability, privacy and security, data quality, system dependencies, technical constraints, and enterprise architecture considerations.
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog based on OKRs, clinical value, user needs, risk, feasibility, and value delivery.
- Partner with the Tech Lead, clinical informatics, design, data, AI, and engineering partners to validate completeness, feasibility, and clarity of requirements.
Decision Authority & Agile Product Leadership
- Serve as the final product decision-maker on scope, sequencing, and trade-offs within the pod.
- Apply sound judgment under ambiguity, balancing speed, clinical risk, technical complexity, cost, user experience, and value.
- Use quantitative data, qualitative user feedback, operational impact, and financial impact to inform prioritization decisions.
- Co-lead sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, release readiness, and product increment reviews alongside the Tech Lead.

- Partner with appropriate clinical, privacy, security, legal, compliance, and technology stakeholders to identify and manage risks associated with ambient capture, generated documentation, and AI-enabled functionality.
- Define escalation and remediation paths for quality, safety, privacy, workflow, or adoption issues identified in production.
Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Own product reporting and performance dashboards that provide transparency into adoption, utilization, quality, experience, and value realization.
- Leverage analytics, operational data, product telemetry, and user feedback to identify performance gaps and refine product direction.
- Define pilot and scale criteria and use evidence from implementation to determine when capabilities are ready for expansion.
- Monitor variation across users, specialties, facilities, and workflows to identify opportunities for standardization or intentional product configuration.
Technical & Product Fluency
- Demonstrate working knowledge of ambient technologies, AI-enabled documentation workflows, APIs, platforms, data flows, and system integrations.
- Understand dependencies across electronic health record workflows, identity and access, clinical data, audio capture, AI services, analytics, and downstream documentation processes.
- Anticipate downstream clinical, operational, data, and technical impacts when defining product scope.
