A Project Manager for switchgear with Capital Electric is responsible for maintaining customer and vendor relations for the life of a project; providing approved electrical distribution equipment in a timely fashion, monitoring the status of each assigned project to ensure complete accuracy of invoicing on every job.
Salary: $50,000-$70,000 per year with bonus potential.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of supplying electrical distribution equipment for projects.
- Ensure all processes of the project development and schedule are completed in a timely and accurate manner by retaining a professional/friendly business relationship with the customer, estimator, outside salesperson and vendors. Effective communication is vital as you will be an integral part of the sales team interfacing with all aspects of the project.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
- Manage project budgets while ensuring timely and accurate invoicing from vendors and to the customer.
- Identify, analyze, and solve critical problems.
- Multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day.
- Review returned project submittals and facilitate any required equipment changes. Generate and forward revised submittals to the customer.
- Provide operation and maintenance manuals at the end of the job to recap all approved equipment that was supplied for the project.
- Negotiate, Generate and maintain change orders for the customer and vendors in a timely fashion. Be alert for opportunities to increase the project’s profitability.
- Process returns.
- Maintain a current sales recap for the project that encompasses all change orders, vendor and customer invoicing.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age
- High School or GED
- 1-2 years customer service experience – electrical/lighting industry preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good and dependable mathematic skills
- Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethic
