Candidates who join KBR's Mission Technology Solutions business before the spin-off will transition to Trinzic when the separation is complete and will not need to reapply for employment.
KBR is seeking a senior engineer to support OUSW R&E to deliver advanced technical expertise, strategic analysis, and engineering leadership across critical DoW modernization initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to evaluate warfighting capabilities, bridge critical joint capability gaps, and accelerate the transition of innovative technologies to programs of record.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide subject-matter expertise in warfighting technologies and capabilities for Mission Engineering Integration Activities (MEIA)
- Deliver technical assessments and analysis to provide recommended innovative approaches, technologies, and capabilities to address critical joint warfighting capability gaps
- Provide technical analysis and advice to inform capability requirements development and validation in the Technology Modernization Transition Review process (TMTR)
- Provide technical expertise to inform mission engineering studies, prototype development, experimentation, and global integrated wargaming
- Collaborate with Service, Joint Staff, and OSD stakeholders to support the transition of technologies from prototypes and joint experimentation activities to Service programs of record
- Prepare and deliver reports and briefings to Senior DoD leadership
Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering or physics
- Active TOP SECRET clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP) experience
- Minimum 15 years of relevant work experience
- Solid working knowledge of current and future airborne and space ISR systems to include the classified, proliferated low earth orbit (PLEO) constellations
- Special Access Program (SAP) space portfolio experience Technical expertise in command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and targeting (C5ISRT) in one or more of the following areas:
- Space and satellite ground station operations
- Battle Management Command, Control and Communications (BMC3)
- Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC)
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT)
- Experience leading the planning and execution of complex engineering and systems analysis efforts for the DoW and/or IC
- Operational experience in one or more areas of C5ISRT
- Solid working knowledge of current and future airborne and space ISR systems to include the classified, proliferated low earth orbit (PLEO) constellations
- Special Access Program (SAP) space portfolio experience
- Executive presence with highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop high-quality, professional briefings and written reports to succinctly capture key issues for DoW decision-makers
- Self-starter, able to take initiative and accomplish work independently with minimal guidance
- Must be highly organized with acute attention to detail
Desired:
- Experience working with the Joint Staff in the military requirements process
- OSD, Joint Staff, and/or Service Staff experience is highly desired
Scheduled Weekly Hours:
40hrs
Basic Compensation:
$200,000 - $205,000
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
