Candidates who join KBR's Mission Technology Solutions business before the spin-off will transition to Trinzic when the separation is complete and will not need to reapply for employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide senior-level program management and acquisition advisory support for complex, time-critical space programs, projects, tests, and mission activities.
- Assist with acquisition planning, market research, requirements development, and preparation or review of technical and programmatic acquisition documentation, including statements of work and requests for proposal.
- Coordinate with Government, engineering, operational, acquisition, research and development, and mission-partner organizations to clarify needs, align priorities, and support program objectives.
- Assess technical sufficiency, cost, schedule, quality, risk, and delivery of program products; develop fact-based recommendations and courses of action.
- Support integrated planning, milestone coordination, resource alignment, and transition to operational use across multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain integrated schedules, risk and issue information, action-item tracking, status products, and decision-support materials.
- Prepare, review, and edit program reports, acquisition documents, briefings, executive summaries, and formal communications.
- Support system and program reviews and advise on design challenges, delivery, integration, test readiness, transition, and mission impacts.
- Coordinate agreements and documentation supporting transition of Space RCO capabilities into organizing, training, equipping, and operational frameworks.
- Perform independently on high-visibility, mission-critical efforts and provide technical or programmatic guidance to less experienced staff when assigned.
- Translate complex technical and programmatic information into concise, actionable recommendations for technical, program-management, and executive audiences.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and SAP eligibility; willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph and ability to maintain required clearance and accesses. which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, systems engineering, program management, business, acquisition, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered only when permitted by contract requirements and approved by KBR HR/Compensation.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant DoD, Intelligence Community, Government, or industry experience in program management, acquisition, systems engineering, space systems, or related mission environments.
- Experience supporting development, fielding, integration, transition, or sustainment of satellite, ground, software, sensor, processor, command-and-control, or other complex mission systems.
- Experience in DoD program management or acquisition, including program development, requirements, transition, contractor coordination, or delivery oversight.
- Experience with Integrated Master Schedules, risk and issue management, and Statements of Work or Performance Work Statements.
- Understanding of space operational environments, mission-user needs, and space-system engineering, development, integration, manufacturing, or mission operations.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately orally and in writing and to brief senior leaders.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in the Albuquerque/Kirtland AFB area and travel up to 30% CONUS/OCONUS.
Desired:
- Master's degree in engineering, systems engineering, engineering management, business, acquisition, or a related field.
- Prior SETA support to a Government program office.
- Five or more years of relevant SAP and/or SCI experience, with recent experience preferred.
- Experience with rapid prototyping, ACAT I/II acquisition programs, or integrated air, space, and cyberspace capabilities.
- Experience planning or executing test campaigns for space systems.
- Experience developing, deploying, integrating, or sustaining ground mission-planning architecture or software.
- Familiarity with Intelligence Community organizations and classified mission-partner interfaces.
