We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state-of-the-art MILSATCOM systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.
Responsibilities will include:
- Serve as the Lead System Architect for MBSE, providing technical leadership, direction, and oversight for system modeling activities across the program.
- Develop and maintain the program's MBSE strategy, modeling approach, architecture, governance, and roadmap in alignment with program systems engineering objectives and Digital Engineering initiatives.
- Define and maintain the overall model architecture, including model organization, decomposition, viewpoints, relationships, naming conventions, modeling standards, and modeling patterns.
- Lead development and maintenance of integrated system models representing system architecture, requirements, behaviors, functions, interfaces, verification relationships, and other elements of the technical baseline.
- Establish and maintain traceability between mission needs, operational capabilities, system architecture, requirements, interfaces, verification activities, and supporting engineering artifacts.
- Define the approach for integrating and, where appropriate, federating models and engineering data produced by government organizations, development contractors, support contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Evaluate contractor-developed models and modeling approaches for consistency with program architecture, requirements, technical baseline objectives, and established modeling standards.
- Manage the configuration of a Teamwork Cloud database employing multiple Project Usages.
- Manage the data connectivity between Cameo System Modeler and IBM Rational DOORS.
- Work closely with requirements engineers to establish and maintain relationships and traceability between modeled architecture and authoritative system requirements.
- Work with interface engineering teams to ensure system interfaces, logical and physical connections, exchanges, and dependencies are consistently represented within the model.
- Work with verification and test organizations to incorporate verification methods, relationships, evidence, and system behavior into the modeling environment as appropriate.
