- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience in technical leadership.
- Experience in systems engineering, integration, and testing.
- Experience managing people.
- Experience managing technician work spanning multiple technical disciplines (e.g., electrical, mechanical, software).
- Experience with assembly and measurement of radio frequency (RF) components at cryogenic temperatures.
- Experience with quality engineering, failure analysis, or reliability engineering.
- Experience communicating team progress with project leadership.
As the Quantum System Integration Manager, you will lead a team of test engineers to assemble and test new quantum computing systems. You will work closely with Technical Operations to bring computing capacity online in a predictable manner to support internal and external customer needs. As a member of the Platforms Engineering team, you'll work closely with Systems Engineering to make the deployment of novel systems routine, and with Fault Isolation to provide ongoing reliability metrics to drive improvement.
The full potential of quantum computing will be unlocked with a large-scale computer capable of complex, error-corrected computations. Google Quantum AI's mission is to build this computer and unlock solutions to classically intractable problems. Our roadmap is focused on advancing the capabilities of quantum computing and enabling meaningful applications.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. - Provide technical oversight of design, development, and integration of system components. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
- Recruit, train, and develop integration and test technicians. Lead your team in applying standards, processes, and tools to deliver computing systems.
- Coordinate with Technical Operations for workload planning and forecasting. Drive continuous process improvement, helping the team to achieve desired scope and schedule goals.
