Job Summary and Qualifications
The Senior Career Services Advisor helps students and graduates develop the skills needed to secure employment in their field of study. This role provides career guidance, builds relationships with employers and community partners, supports externship and placement opportunities, and ensures compliance with placement requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide students and graduates with career guidance, resume assistance, interview preparation, and job search support.
- Develop and maintain relationships with employers and community partners to identify job and externship opportunities.
- Assist with recruiting, marketing, and maintaining externship and placement sites.
- Monitor student externship progress and graduate employment outcomes.
- Maintain accurate Career Services records, placement documentation, and required reports.
- Conduct graduate and employer surveys and track placement and employment data.
- Support student orientation and explain Career Services resources and opportunities.
- Collaborate with Admissions, Education, and other departments to support student and graduate success.
- Ensure compliance with CHCP, state, federal, Department of Education, TWC, and accreditation requirements.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and community events.
- Represent CHCP professionally within the medical and business community.
- Travel approximately 30%–50% for employer outreach, job development, placement verification, and community events.
