As a Sr. Data Integration Engineer with a strong background in cybersecurity domain data, you will be a member of a key team within DataBee, acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in data ingestion, working closely with customers, internal teams, and engineering counterparts to design pipelines, define transformation logic, and onboard new data sources for customers.
Job Description
- Explore and integrate with APIs from IT and security products (e.g., SIEMs, Cloud services, firewalls, endpoint protection tools).
- Parse, normalize, and map security logs (e.g., firewall logs, IDS/IPS, EDR data, vulnerability scans) into our standardized data model.
- Responsible for maintaining and extending the data model used for normalization within the product
- Engage directly with customers to identify critical data sources and align them with security use cases.
- Work with internal BI and content development teams to ensure the right data is available for dashboards, alerts, and reports.
- Investigate and resolve issues with data collection, ensuring seamless integration into the data platform.
- Collaborate closely with Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, Product Management and Product Marketing to influence the roadmap, architecture and customer engagements.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 7+ years in data engineering, ETL, or integration roles or similar (MUST HAVE)
- Customer facing experience e.g. Sales Engineer, Professional Services, Customer Success or Customer Support, etc. (MUST HAVE)
- Proficiency in API's, coding languages such as SQL, Python, Benthos, etc. (BIG PLUS)
- Experience working with SIEMs or similar platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel, ArcSight) to collect, normalize, and analyze security data. (BIG PLUS)
- Extensive background in cybersecurity, with a deep understanding of the security principles, practices, and technologies to support common enterprise security goals, such as threat detection and vulnerability management as well as the overall strengthening of security posture and compliance with security standards. (BIG PLUS)
- Experience in cybersecurity technology deployments or customer support to external customers or in a related field.
- Expertise in managing the end-to-end process of data collection, storage, management, quality control, and security, or relevant experience in any of these areas.
- Strong ability to work independently, taking initiative and following through on assignments with minimal supervision, and proactively solving problems when clear solutions are not immediately available.
- Ability to summarize and clearly communicate analytical findings to stakeholders at all levels within the organization
- Eagerness to receive coaching and a structured approach to developing and refining customer deployment and engagement strategies.

Salary:
National Pay Range: $113,989.09 USD-$267,161.93 USD
