The AUKUS Group, within SPA's Sea, Land, and Air Division, provides timely, objective, analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis to NAVSEA's AUKUS Integration and Acquisition Program Office and associated partner organizations. Analysts and Engineers supporting AUKUS will continue SPA’s decades of support to the undersea force and assist in developing a trilateral submarine force for the future. This is a high-profile, major international program of significant importance to the future of the US Navy and its partners in an era of renewed strategic competition.
SPA has an immediate need for a Senior Program Analyst located in Arlington, VA (with potential for light telework). #MC
Responsibilities:
The Senior Program Analyst will provide program and manpower analysis support to the AUKUS nuclear powered submarine endeavor, directly supporting OPNAV N133. The Analyst will support US training efforts for Australian submariners in the US, support N133 in officer pipeline management, and participate in trilateral operational worforce meetings. The Analyst should expect to brief senior leaders frequently and be a key member of a high profile team.
This position is located in Arlington VA, with possible international travel.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical or management field, including operations, engineering, statistical analysis, mathematics, etc. or equivalent nuclear training.
- 5+ years experience in submarine operations and maintenance, including in a leadership role.
- Proven experience supporting senior military leader decision making, with the ability to simplify complex problems and make actionable recommendations.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint, to communicate to decision makers.
- Current DoD security clearance - minimum Secret, with the ability to maintain it throughout employment.
Additional Qualifications Desired, but not required:
- Experience with N133 or Pers42.
- Service as a submarine officer.
- Experience with Defense Acquisition System DoD 5000 series and Navy or DoD program planning.
- Experience with and knowledgeable of the Navy requirements and program office organizations and processes.
