What you will accomplish in this role
The Digital Product Analyst, Timpani Centralized Scheduling & Staffing (CSS), supports the pod by translating facility staffing, scheduling, and workforce management needs into actionable product requirements, performing analysis, and producing progress and outcome communications. This role gathers, organizes, and interprets operational, staffing, adoption, and product data to improve centralized scheduling and staffing workflows, staffing decision-making, user experience, labor efficiency, and alignment with business and clinical goals. The analyst works closely with the Associate Product Owner and Product Owner, facility and division staffing leaders, Nursing leadership, frontline operational users, technology teams, and other cross-functional partners to provide insights that shape the product development lifecycle. DT&I’s mission is to bring innovative technology solutions to HCA’s clinical and administrative frontline, reshaping healthcare processes to improve patient outcomes, empower clinicians and operators with insights, and drive greater efficiency for all. In this role, you will help make scheduling and staffing workflows more intelligent, standardized, and efficient so facilities can place the right person in the right place at the right time.
What you will do:
Timpani CSS Product Development Support
- Collect and document detailed requirements from Nursing leaders, Nursing Informatics, frontline nurses, and other stakeholders; translate nursing ambient documentation workflows and needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria for technical delivery.
- Define detailed key results supporting pod objectives, including measures of nursing adoption, utilization, documentation time and burden, documentation quality and completeness, workflow efficiency, and user experience; perform analyses as needed before automated measurement is available.
- Support the Product Owner in day-to-day product activities, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, requirement clarification, acceptance criteria, testing coordination, and release readiness.
- Prepare analyses and materials for product demos, quarterly business reviews, clinical leadership updates, pilot reviews, and other pod report-outs.
- Work with the Product Owner to develop Objectives and Key Results and define measurement strategies, source systems, baselines, and methodologies for nursing ambient clinical documentation outcomes.
- Partner with data engineers and pod members to create reliable data pipelines, dashboards, and analyses that automate measurement of product, clinical workflow, adoption, and outcome metrics.
Clinical & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Experience/UX designers and Nursing and Performance Improvement stakeholders to map current and future nursing documentation workflows, identify pain points, and define opportunities for ambient documentation to reduce burden without disrupting patient care.
- Partner with Experience/UX, Nursing Informatics, and frontline nurses to incorporate clinical workflow and user acceptance criteria into user stories and test scenarios.
- Work with adoption teams, process/experience designers, Nursing leadership, and frontline users to translate qualitative and quantitative feedback into prioritized feature specifications and product improvements.
- Partner with change management, education, adoption, and scaling teams to support pilot readiness, training, communications, workflow change, adoption, and responsible scaling across nursing environments.
Timpani CSS Analysis and Reporting
- Prepare analyses and materials for product demos, quarterly business reviews, clinical leadership updates, pilot reviews, and other pod report-outs.
- Use analytical and data visualization techniques to communicate nursing adoption, utilization, documentation quality, workflow, product performance, and outcome insights effectively to clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
- Create comprehensive documentation and presentation materials, including nursing workflow maps, requirements, product feature details, acceptance criteria, pilot findings, user guidance, and release communications.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret product telemetry, user feedback, documentation quality indicators, workflow measures, and adoption data to identify trends, risks, issues, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Up to 25% travel required
- Performs other duties as assigned

What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Nursing, or a related field Required
- Master's degree in a relevant healthcare, informatics, analytics, business, or technology field Preferred
- 1+ year(s) of experience in healthcare technology, clinical informatics, nursing workflow, product analysis, business analysis, or a related domain, with strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated problem solving across technical and functional areas Required

Preferred Experience:
- Certification in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Health Informatics, or related fields Preferred
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies Preferred
