Program Summary
The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) sustains the Army’s mission to develop, acquire, field, and sustain ground combat, tactical, and support systems throughout their lifecycle. The program focuses on ensuring operational readiness, reliability, and safety of automotive and ground support equipment critical to Army operations.
Under this contract, personnel provide maintenance, repair, overhaul, and sustainment support in accordance with Army technical manuals, safety standards, and performance requirements.
Job Summary
The HR Generalist supports the administration and delivery of human resources programs, policies, and processes that support organizational objectives and employee engagement. The position partners closely with employees and leaders to provide HR guidance, support employee relations activities, maintain compliance, and assist in the execution of core HR functions. This role contributes to creating a positive employee experience while supporting workforce planning, talent management, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Administer and communicate HR policies, programs, and procedures.
- Serve as a resource to employees and managers regarding HR-related questions and concerns.
- Respond to inquiries related to benefits, compensation, leave programs, and employee policies.
- Support employee relations matters and assist with investigations, corrective actions, and performance management activities.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
- Generate and maintain HR reports, workforce metrics, and employee data records.
- Analyze HR-related data and provide recommendations to support business decisions.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, employee development, engagement, and retention initiatives.
- Support organizational changes, workforce planning, and talent management activities.
- Collaborate with HR team members and business leaders on HR projects and process improvements.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and communications using Microsoft Office applications.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience.
- Knowledge of HR principles, employee relations practices, and employment regulations.
- Experience utilizing Workday or other HRIS platforms.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and sound judgment when handling confidential information.
- Ability to build partnerships with employees and management.
- Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (as required)
- U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, logistics, or operational environments.
- Familiarity with talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, performance management, and workforce planning.
- Knowledge of HR compliance and best practices.
- Experience supporting large or geographically dispersed workforces.
