Job Summary and Qualifications
The Manager of Cardiovascular Services oversees the administrative, operational, and clinical performance of the assigned areas, which include Cath Lab, Echo, and Non-Invasive Cardiology departments. This role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, staff development, quality improvement, and fostering collaborative relationships, while serving as a role model and strategic leader.
What you will do in this role:
- Provide managerial oversight for Cath Lab, Echo, and Non-Invasive Cardiology departments.
- Responsible for administrative, informational, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, clinical performance, and operational functions within Cardiovascular Services.
- Engage with physicians and departmental staff to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, providing safe, efficient, and effective services.
- Build and maintain strong inter- and intra-departmental working relationships to foster good customer relations.
- Ensure knowledge of and compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Drive quality improvement and customer service initiatives, continually assessing professional performance.
- Manage multiple tasks and projects productively.
- Demonstrate interdepartmental support and teamwork.
- Ensure staff compliance with policies, procedures, mandatory requirements, and licensure/certification.
- Meet performance goals and objectives.
- Establish and ensure successful completion of staff orientation and annual competency criteria.
- Identify strategic management initiatives.
- Communicate professionally and respond timely to requests for information or follow-up on issues.
- Serve as a role model, exhibiting leadership behaviors such as encouraging, involving, delegating, facilitating decision-making, and building consensus.
- Be on call for intervention as required.
- Manage staffing schedules, payroll, productivity goals, performance reviews, and staffing concerns.
- Collaborate on resource utilization, resolve performance issues, and organize/direct workflow.
- Perform duties of a Non-Invasive Cardiology employee as needed.
- Utilize professional and ethical judgment and critical thinking in performing duties.
- Act as a resource/facilitator regarding the Ethics & Compliance Program.
- Participate in continuing education for optimal patient care, public education, and enhanced knowledge/technical competence.
What qualifications you will need:
- 5 years of technical experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role required.
- Previous management experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in an interventional cath lab preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited education program in Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or an accredited School of Nursing.
- BSN/Masters preferred.
- Current Certification in Radiography with ARRT or Current Tennessee RN license required.
- Successful completion of an advanced-level certification examination relative to the field of work (e.g., Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification) required.
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification (American Heart Association) required.
- Current ACLS certification required or must be acquired within 6 months of hire.
