We are seeking a motivated individual to join the Tax Department as a Senior Tax Analyst. The position requires a team player that is highly organized, responsive, and extremely flexible and can handle multiple projects while producing accurate and timely results. The primary responsibilities of the position will include support of the tax financial reporting, tax planning and analysis, and domestic tax compliance for insurance companies.
The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
Overtime will be required, especially during peak periods.
What you can expect:
- GAAP financial reporting and analysis of taxes for domestic life insurance entities - ASC 740
- STAT financial reporting and analysis of taxes based on SSAP 101
- Partner with Business Unit Actuarial on the Tax Reserve reporting and analysis on a quarterly basis
- Partner with co-sourcing partners on the preparation and review of Federal Tax Compliance for domestic life insurance entities
- Recommendations of improvements to financial reporting, forecasting, and compliance processes
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or other related business disciplines required
- CPA and/or master’s degree in tax or accounting a plus
- Corporate Tax/Public accounting experience (3-5 years), financial services sector is preferred
- Life insurance expertise is preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational/analytical skills required
- Proven leadership track record strongly desired
- Solid PC skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
- CorpTax Compliance & Financial reporting software
It'd be a plus if you had:
- GAAP accounting for taxes: ASC-740/FAS 109/FIN48
- Understanding of life insurance taxation (SSAP 101)
- Understanding of financial service companies including insurance, investments, and asset management a plus
- Strong work ethic and able to partner in a team-oriented environment
- Organized and flexible - ability to manage multiple projects/assignments, while meeting deadlines

The salary range for this role is from $97,300.00 to $144,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
