Join the Global Real Estate and Facilities team at Boeing as an Experienced Facilities Plant Mechanical Engineer in Heath, Ohio.

Your responsibilities will range from supervision reactive equipment repairs to providing support for planning and construction projects, placing you at the forefront of improving site infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on industrial building HVAC systems, steam, compressed air, plumbing and fire protection systems.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop basic, routine analysis using reliability tools and methods to determine the cause of asset failures and capacity reduction
Assist in implementing improvements to enhance asset effectiveness, availability, and maintainability
Create conceptual designs, final designs, and cost estimates for mechanical aspects of buildings, equipment installations, utility systems, and grounds
Ensure alignment of mechanical designs with customer requirements, building codes, and regulations, utilizing your knowledge of construction principles, practices, and materials
Maintain the accuracy of drawing archives/libraries by reviewing contractor redlines
Identify errors and documents construction changes to comply with regulatory requirements, facility standards, and record retention requirements
Support or manage construction projects by providing input on vendor selection, reviewing contractor proposals, and liaising with governmental agencies
Prepare and present project information to ensure compliance with construction documents, jurisdictional requirements, and project objectives
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
3+ years of experience with Industrial Equipment Maintenance/ Environmental (HVAC) and Mechanical Control Systems
3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design)
3+ years of experience using AutoCAD or a similar CAD package
3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Professional Engineer (PE) license
5+ years of experience in equipment engineering
5+ years of experience working in facilities organization
5+ years of experience working with and/or managing contractors, subcontractors, or suppliers
5+ years of experience in tracking and analyzing fluctuation of costs to ensure accurate forecasting
3+ years of experience with mechanical systems design and analysis
3+ years of experience in HVAC design, HVAC piping, and plumbing
3+ years of experience with codes including NFPA13 (Fire Protection/Sprinklers), IBC codes (Plumbing, gas, etc.), NFPA25
3+ years of experience in scheduling design & construction approximate timetables
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master + 3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $96,050 – $129,950
