Leidos has an immediate need for an experienced engineering technologies and site support person to lead and support a large team of engineers within the National Security Sector. The candidate will regularly interact with Space senior team members, management and staff, outside Leidos staff and outside entities. The candidate will support a broad range of space program and project-wide tasks for all space projects, including engineering lab data and lab management, managing lab and team schedules, preparing engineering correspondence, coordinating meeting logistics, preparing lab and support expense reports, and coordinating associate team travel. Occasional overtime may be required. This position will be onsite at our San Diego Headquarters for the National Security Sector.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Promote and lead the development, documentation and implementation of procedures, policies and practices to promote the efficient execution of all tasks for all space-related projects.
- Independently prepare various types of correspondence to customers, external agencies, and services per specific and/or external agency correspondence guidelines. Types of correspondence include letters and memorandums regarding special events as deemed necessary by the customer and the engineering team.
- Performing a broad range of space project and program support duties including scheduling and coordinating in-person and virtual team meetings and conference calls, renumerating invoices, coordinating catering orders, ordering computers and supplies, and maintaining contact lists
- Maintain the team coordination (e.g. team meeting facilities, multiple team coordination, scheduling of overall team development)
- Lead and direct all newly arrived and departing team members on the day-to-day in/out-processed into/from the customer organization, including all records databases (e.g. onboarding coordination, office management, account setup, CIO transactions)
- Maintenance of overall daily team activities, and support of overall engineering lab activities.
- Provide coordination and organization support for division and program-related events, functions, and activities.
- Conduct and assist with all business travel arrangements and expense reports, including domestic and international travel for team members
- Deep level of expertise in PowerPoint, compiling presentations, formatting, editing, and creating and managing PowerPoint charts for Space leadership
- Accomplish all photocopying, compile printouts (briefing packages, business cards, etc.), scan documents, and coordinate department and inter-office mail
- Manage complex calendars with an understanding of which activities are most appropriate for the allocation of the senior leader’s time
- Facilitate with team project manager and/or team leadership, as the single point of contact, to report problems with office furniture and equipment or appropriate office for corrective action and or repair.
- Facilitate quarterly “All Hands/Awards Ceremonies” in providing room set-up, awards preparation, and clean-up.
- Supervise consumable office supplies; Prepare purchase requests to replenish supplies, as necessary. Conduct overall office purchases of small and large project and program purchases. Conduct, place, and uphold Leidos space purchases (e.g. office supplies, hardware lab equipment, lab maintenance, cleanroom expenses, equipment certification, calibration services, etc)
Basic Qualifications (Mandatory)
- Present a positive and personable demeanor with an ability to interact and relate well with both external and internal contacts at all levels, up to and including customers.
- Ability to work effectively with key administrative personnel across the enterprise.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound decision-making and prioritization ability, and attention to detail are critical.
- Excellent calendar management skills including the ability to coordinate complex executive meetings. Must have a mastery of Microsoft Outlook including Teams and other communication channels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint required.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a commitment to completion of projects on a timely basis.
- Must be able to provide full-time in-person support at the San Diego headquarters
- Bachelor’s degree or high school degree and 5+ years of experience providing support in a large corporate setting
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
A preferred candidate would also possess sound knowledge of space concepts as well as a good understanding of algorithm implementation and hardware/software implementation.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration is preferred.
- Experience staffing correspondence and coordinating with external government agencies
- Experience coordinating special events such as partnering sessions, all-hands meetings (all organizational personnel present), office visits, and project site visits to include site access approvals and escort duty.
- Experience and knowledge supporting Special Access Programs (SAP).
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter, as well as a solid group contributor working in a fast-paced environment
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office suite tools.

Pay Range $65,000.00 - $117,500.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
