AWS Global Sales is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
Would you like to be part of a team that engages directly with CxO and LoB leaders to drive transformational business outcomes? Can you work alongside senior executives to shape enterprise strategy, identify and accelerate business value through cloud and AI adoption? Do you have the executive presence and business development acumen to help customers build innovation as a sustainable competitive skill, and the ability to translate emerging technology capabilities into board-level strategic priorities?
The NAMER Business Innovation Advisor (BIA) team is a key part of the NAMER Business Development organization, focused on transformational engagement with customer senior executives. BIA Practice Leads are responsible for identifying where customers can accelerate business value, align AI and technology initiatives to business outcomes, and mobilize specialist sales, partners, marketing, and solution architecture teams in delivering business value for AWS customers. The BIA team drives business development at the strategic advisory level—shaping how account teams engage with senior leaders on broader transformation, and not just on specific deals.
We are seeking a Business Innovation Advisor for our High Tech Industry group, focused on leading IT hardware and solutions providers. As a BIA lead, you will collaborate with sales leadership to lead vision, transformation, and business value assessment sessions with customers, facilitate customer workshops, and craft and deliver high-impact executive-level presentations. This may include conducting internal and external research, customer discovery focused on business processes and KPIs, business value and return on investment (ROI) analysis, and defining business transformation strategies. Your success will result in the strategic elevation of AWS with customers, shaping the sales team’s go-to-market strategies as well as customer success initiatives.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead discovery workshops with prospective and existing customer leadership and their teams to align on business goals, challenges, and transformation priorities across industries
- Facilitate senior executive workshops with C-level and line-of-business (LoB) executives to identify, prioritize and drive new AI-enabled business capabilities that align with their strategic objectives
- Build CFO-grade business value analyses that quantify ROI using customer-specific data, including ROI, TCO, NPV, and unit economics analysis to justify investment in AWS solutions
- Craft and deliver high-impact, executive-level narratives and presentations for CxO and LOB audiences that reframe customer priorities from “technology project” to “business transformation”
- Develop customer-specific transformation strategies and work with sales specialists, partners, marketing, and solution architecture teams in developing roadmaps that deliver business value
- Create reusable value frameworks, ROI calculators, and discovery guides that enable account teams to execute value-based selling motions independently across their territories
- Track and validate value realization with customers post-engagement, connecting initial business case projections to measurable deployment outcomes to fuel expansion and renewal conversations
- Act as a trusted advisor to sales leadership by providing guidance on account engagement priorities aligned to internal business goals, and by helping qualify and prioritize specific strategic engagements
- Contribute to external thought leadership through webinars, whitepapers, summit sessions, and customer reference development
A day in the life
As a Sr. Business Innovation Advisor, you might start your morning preparing for an executive workshop with a Fortune 500 technology firm COO, focused on mapping your customer’s CX operations end-to-end to identify where AI-powered self-service could reduce cost-to-serve by 40%.
Mid-day, you’re on a call with an account team helping them translate a stalled infrastructure and data strategy conversation into a $5M+ business transformation opportunity by building a new value case focused on AI-enabled use cases that connect technology investment to the customer’s P&L.
In the afternoon, you’re finalizing an AI chat agent that account managers will use to qualify new BIA team engagement opportunities that will help you and your colleagues scale more effectively and drive increased business impact. You operate at the intersection of consulting, business development, and executive advisory—and you thrive on the variety.
